We are sure all of you have been following the news in relation to Coronavirus and have also received the recent communication from the BMFA.
Clearly the situation is now becoming far more serious than anticipated and Government guidance is changing dramatically on a daily basis.
Following the Prime Minister’s broadcast last night strict new measures have now come into force.
The two which clearly have a major impact on our club activities are the banning of gatherings of more than two people and the request to stop all non-essential travel!
In view of the above it is with regret that we have taken the decision to close our flying sites until further notice.
We hope you will all agree we all have a responsibility to help protect the health and wellbeing of the membership and their families.
We will of course be monitoring the situation and be guided by Government advice in the coming weeks as to whether any relaxation of the closure of our sites becomes possible.
Again we are so sorry to have to do this, particularly given the beautiful Spring weather which prevails at present, however, I'm sure you will all agree it is in everyone's interest to respect the current Government guidelines and help protect the health and safety of our members.
Stay safe and keep well.
With kind regards to you all
